Roof Rat in Houston TX

Roof rats are 6โ8 inches long (plus tail), slender, with large ears and pointed snouts. Coloring is black or dark brown. They’re smaller and more agile than Norway rats.
Entry Points
Tree branches within 18 inches of rooflines, utility lines entering eaves, gaps in soffit vents and fascia, and open ridge vents. Houston’s mature tree canopy creates abundant roof access.
Control Method
Snap traps in attic insulation, aerial runway monitoring, tree trimming recommendations, and stainless mesh sealing of all roofline gaps. Same-day service available.
